Engen Ghana Limited officials making the presentation to Otumfuo Education Fund

Engen Ghana Limited has presented an amount of GH¢3,000 and periodic tables for Science and Mathematics to support the Otumfuo Education Fund.

The presentation was aimed at helping the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, to realise his dream of promoting quality education across the country.

Alfred Buahing, the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Manager of Engen Ghana Limited, made the presentation at a colourful ceremony in Kumasi on Friday.

He said his company had realised the tireless efforts of the Asante Monarch to transform education in the country so Engen decided to also help the King.

Mr Buahing said if Ghana wants to develop effectively, then, the country should take a critical look at its research work.

Engen Ghana Limited, he said, has realised that through proper scientific research work, Ghana could develop at a fast rate to the delight of the people.

He disclosed that the company has also decided to play a leading role in promoting the study of Mathematics and Science in schools to help promote Ghana’s research work.

The Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Manager of Engen Ghana Limited said if students are motivated to study Science and Mathematics, they could research more and find solutions to Ghana’s problems.

He announced that Engen Ghana Limited had decided to sponsor the Ghana Mathematics quiz for senior high schools in 2015.

Mr Buabing noted that his company’s objective is to help Ghana to groom more Science and Mathematics students to accelerate national development.

Nana Brefo-Boateng, Executive Secretary, Otumfuo Education Fund, received the cash and the items.

He commended Engen Ghana Limited for their efforts at promoting quality education in the country, urging the company to continue its good works.
