Heart of Lions Dissolve Entire Management and Technical Team

Ghana Premier League side Heart of Lions have dissolved its entire Management and Technical staff and have told affected staff to reapply if they’re interested in working with the club, Ghanasportsonline.com can exclusively reveal.

The dissolution affected all but head coach Yusif Abubakar and assistant Ben Fokuo who have been tasked to take the club through the pre-season training programme.

The Kpando-based side have followed in the examples of fellow Prem clubs Berekum Chelsea and Medeama SC who both terminated the appointments of all its backroom staff at the end of the season and are taking steps to revamp it ahead of the fresh season.

Heart of Lions is expected to take a new shape after the club was taken over by Ghana Football Association Executive Committee Member Randey Abbey last season.

The ambitious football administrator has acquired 70% of the shares of the Kpando-based club paving way for massive financial capital injection for the club through his partners.

Ghanasportsonline.com sources say Abbey is ready to revamp the side to meet the status of international standards as they seek to make an entry into the CAF Confederations cup after impressively placing second in the 2013/2014 league.
