Mr. Alan Kyerematen, a leading contender in the upcoming Presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said that his professional experience and track record place him in the best position to lead a team that will create opportunities for the youth.
He said that ‘the future of our nation depends on the youth of today and therefore, it is important for us as a nation, especially, those of us who seek leadership positions to put the youth at the center of every decision that we make’.
Addressing delegates at separate meetings at Ada, Sege and Kpone-Katamanso all in the Greater Accra region, Mr. Kyerematen added, that no country has ever developed without harnessing and developing the potential of its youth force.
Mr. Kyerematen disclosed that education and entrepreneurial skills will be at the center of his youth policy in other to adequately prepare them for the industrial revolution and small-scale enterprise initiatives.
‘When the opportunities are created for the youth, they will have jobs and reliable incomes that will enhance their conditions and standard of living. It will open up the economy and also reduce crime and the dependency rate’, he stressed.
He mentioned that both in private and public service, he has created opportunities for many individuals, largely the youth, some of which are industrial players today and have employed thousands of people across the country.
Mr. Alan Kyerematen said that he will continue to provide inspiration to the youth and God-willing, when given the opportunity as President,his government willreduce the growing unemployment rate in the country and ensure prosperity for all.
