I Will Move The Office Of The National Organizer To The Grassroots—Kofi Adams

Aspiring National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress NDC, Mr. Kofi Adams, has sent a clear notion on how his administration as the National Organizer of the NDC will be – should he be voted to occupy that position – that is, the move the office to the grassroots.

Mr. Kofi Adams, currently the Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, stated that in the days when the position of National Organizer was limited to Accra as administrative duty should be dispensed. “The National Organizer must be on the grounds and interact with the party structures and find out the realities on the grounds and report to the appropriate authorities for solutions to those problems” Mr. Adams posited.

Mr. Adams who was interacting with some party members, who called on him, emphasized that ‘it is because of organizational lacunae that is why government appointees can go to the constituencies to undertake projects and programmes without the knowledge of the party leadership on the grounds.”

He stated that they – NDC, did that in the past but things must be changed now to the benefit of the party faithful at the grassroots. He said may be he made a mistake by contesting as a Deputy General Secretary, but ‘organization is my strength, in my days as TEIN Organizer at the University, Constituency Youth Organizer, Constituency Secretary, Regional Youth Organizer and Deputy National Youth Organizer, I have remained in organizational levels in my entire life.”

Mr. Adams revealed that unlike other parties, the strength of the NDC is its grassroots and charged that the grassroots must be carried along in whatever the party does. He assured that when voted as the National Organizer, he will bring back that spirit of belonging that has eluded the rank and file of the party.

“The mandate of the NDC will be renewed in 2016 – no doubt, as a result of our good works, but, it is not going to be easy! We must rally round everybody to achieve that victory. He however

Admonished all NDC rank and files to support the government in these difficult times and assured them that things will get better soon.

Mr. Adams, is of a strong conviction and very sanguine that the NDC’s rank and file will give him a massive endorsement come the congress day so that together, they can all help in building a better Ghana – a slogan they chanted before coming into power.
