Police investigate Free Zones Board CEO for assault


The airport police have begun investigations into a case of assault against the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Board, Kwadwo Twum Boafo.

Mr. Twum Boafo’s driver alleges that the Free Zones Board CEO severely assaulted him for daring to intervene in altercation with an old lady.

Seth Obeng told Joy News Mr Twum Boafo, obviously unhappy with his intervention slapped and pounded him when they got to the CEO’s residence.

He said not even the young politician’s mother’s intervention was enough to calm down an infuriated Twum Boafo.

The assaulted driver said he bled from the nose and is having difficulty hearing from one ear.

He said the police gave him medical form with which he sought medical treatment at the LEKMA Hospital.

The Accra Regional Police Public Affairs Director, DSP Freeman Tettey confirmed the airport police have started investigations into the report.
