A group, calling itself The Northern Residence in the Coastal Belt of Ghana, has commended the sitting Chief of Staff, Prosper Douglas Bani, for his efforts at bridging the gap between the NDC Party top hierarchy and the grass roots.

The Group, comprising 70 percent middle class also urged Mr. Prosper Bani to continue with his good work which they believed would not only bring unity within the NDC party alone but Ghana’s politics in general.

In a press release issued in Accra and signed by the Group’s President, Alhaji Mahmud Bako , said ”we believe President Mahama and his able lieutenants have done tremendously well in turning around the ailing economy of Ghana despite the current economic meltdown bedeviling not only Ghana’s economy but the global economy at large”.

Governance, the release added ”cannot be not be without safety and security of the people. We all know that this country is currently enjoying the best security to the satisfaction of citizens and foreign nationals resident in Ghana ”.

The statement also mentioned that Ghana under President Mahama is going through significant infrastructural development in both rural urban areas. It mentioned amongst other projects, the multi-purpose road projects at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, the El-Wak-stadium through Burma Camp, Madina and Labadi road projects, which the statement added were making movement of goods and services easy and accessible .

The group is confident, the current healthy liaison between chief of staff and party Executives, solutions will soon be found to artificial economic hardship that we found our self.

With the inclusion of Hon. Ekwow Spio Garbrah into government and particularly to a sensitive Ministry such as the Trades and Industry Ministry, we hope he uses his vast experience and international connectivity to salvage the Ministry and Ghana’s economy from crumbling.
