Recounting what happened, a neighbour, Obiefuna, told Leadership that the tragic incident occurred during the second-half of the 120-minute game, when the Netherlands attempted to score against Argentina.

“Onuoha just screamed ‘Yeeeh!’ and no one heard from him again. When his wife checked on him, she was shocked to find the lifeless body of her husband,” Obiefuna explained.

The wife also collapsed after seeing her husband’s lifeless body, but she was immediately rushed to a hospital where the medics revived her.
