We Are Getting Nearer To Finding The Chibok Girls–FG

The Nigerian Government has today revealed that the Army was nearer to finding the over 200 Abducted school girls from Chibok.

The girls where abducted by Insurgent group Boko Haram on the night of April 14, 2014 and their abduction had brought the FG to finally accept foreign help in battling Boko Haram.

Coordinator of the National Information Centre (NIC) Mike Omeri today said that security officials have been making headway in the search of the girls and have infiltrated the ranks of the terrorists.

He said: “We will let you know when further actions are taken. We now know some of the female operatives of book haram and some of their armourers”.

The young girls were preparing for their school certificate examinations when they were taken away by Boko Haram on the pretext that they were soldiers sent to rescue them from insurgents.

Omeri also revealed that the an attack over the weekend had killed a military commander and five soldiers, when Insurgents attacked their Borno camp.

He also talked about the statements by reporters saying the Federal Government was not sharing information, he said: “this centre has been open, we have always communicated and media houses have been reporting. But if they want security information beyond what we are communicating, then that is beyond us here.”

Meanwhile on the case of the Nyanya Motor Park mastermind Ahmed Ogwuche, Omeri revealed that Nigerian and Sudan officials where were working on relevant papers to extradict him back to Nigeria to face justice.

Ogwuche had masterminded the Nyanya attack which killed up to  100 people on April 14.
