The party chairman said that the party has no such arrangement in its constitution and would not adopt zoning for any of its elective positions.

“We are not PDP, so we don’t adopt zoning in our party,” he said.

Ajomale also reiterated that every member of the APC has the right to aspire for any elective position.

“Our interest is to give Nigerians the best candidate and that person can come from South East, South West, North East, South South or any part of the country provided he is the person that can give Nigerians the dividends of democracy it doesn’t matter,” he added.

The party chairman questioned why Nigerians should be disturbing themselves about zoning instead of concentrating on a candidate that can deliver the dividends of democracy to them, as it being practiced in countries like Singapore, South Africa, United Kingdom, as well as the United States of America.Read more
