Acute Fuel Shortage Enters Day Two In Parts Of Accra

The intense fuel shortage that has hit the Accra Metropolis entered its second day today with some fuel stations recording long queues for this essential commodity.

A visit to some parts of the Capital indicates that some fuel stations have run out of stock.

Our Reporter Daniel Asiedu Visited the Total Station at Mallam Chaba where most drivers said they came to the station as early as 2a.m.

Despite the long queues, some of them told our reporter they were optimistic of getting fuel by the close of the day.

The government owes the Bulk Oil Distribution Companies (BDCs) GH1.5 billion and according to the Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber, Senyo Hosi, until that money is paid to allow them settle international suppliers, the situation is far from over.
