NDLEA Arrest Eleven School Students Taking Drugs

Officials of the Kaduna State National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Tuesday arrested 11 secondary school children and manager of a hotel in the state over alleged drug abuse and trafficking.

NDLEA Kaduna State Commander, Mohammed Jibrin made this revelation at the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit TraffickingĀ programme which heldĀ in Kaduna yesterday, June 24.

Jibrin said the students included seven girls and four boys were arrested in a hotel room taking psychotropic substance adding that eight of the arrested children were still in junior classes, adding that their parents had been invited to the command for questioning and counselling, while the hotel manager was still under investigation.

Jibrin stressed the need for communities, parents and other stakeholder to support the fight against drug abuse and trafficking to reduce the menace in the state.
