During the explosion, 8 vehicles parked withing the premises of the owned tertiary institution were damaged.

The Commissioner disclosed that a suspect was arrested in connection with the blast at the scene as he ruled out car bombing of this latest attack.

“Every lead seems to point at suicide bombing, unlike our previous experience none of the vehicles parked inside this school caught fire and there is no hole around to suggest a car bombing but all leads are still open for investigation,” Mr. Shinaba said.

Reportedly, the school is adjacent to the private residence of Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar.

Naij.com reader Adamu Abdullahi Adamu witnessed the deadly incident as he was in the area to collect his OMR from WAEC official when the bomb went off.The first thing he did was call his significant other, Zainab, to ensure she was okay.

There are many casuallities, our reader says and adds that most of them are female students some of whom were there for admission exercise. Parts of human bodies lay scattered around, he reports, expressing his shock over the incident and doubting sanity of the perpetrator.

Many parents whose children could have been near the school, he says, are panicking as the police commissioner and secruty agencies are evacuting the victims.
