Blame Yammin For Black Stars Defeat

Deputy Youth And Sports minister Joseph Yamin has been blamed for yesterday’s Black Stars’ defeat at the on-going FIFA World cup tournament in Brazil. This follows comments he made before the match concerning supporters who were being sent to cheer up the Black Stars that majority will be sympathizers of the ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC).

Speaking to this reporter, Regional Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr David Prah, emphasised that the comments by the deputy minister made most supporters aggrieved therefore even reduced their high spirit for the team.

Mr. Prah also expressed regret at the influence of brand ambassadors of the team. The ambassadors selected to portray the stars rather disturbed their training with entertainment which took their concentration” he stated.

He said all these could have been addressed if honourable Yammin did not politicise the whole preparations and even wonders if selection of players to the tournament was also not politicised.

Mr. Prah has however called on Ghanaians to see what is happening and vote out the NDC come 2016 since they have nothing to offer Ghana Sports.

Meanwhile Mr David Prah on behalf of the regional party executives have wished the Stars and the technical team better luck in their subsequent matches against Germany and Portugal.
