Ademola, who made the call at a news conference after the meeting held in Kaduna said, religion is a way of life and a personal relationship between the creature and the Creator.

“Every religion forbids violence, all religious denominations should be tolerant and be each others keeper” he said. “Religious leaders should preach peace and pray for the the success of various strata of government, as there is no leadership without God’s consent. Traditional leaders are expected to be mindful of the enormous responsibilties on their shoulders as leaders of the people, restoring the honour of such exalted stools and thrones, which must not be compromised”.

The bishop condoled with the people of Kano State over the death of the late Emir, Alhaji Ado Bayero, and also congratulated the new Emir, Sanusi Lamido sanusi, advising him to have a “large heart”.

“We encourage him to rule with wisdom, maturity and a large heart” he said.

The clergyman also urged Nigerians to change their attitude and return to God, as well as to support government to move the nation forward.

“Cooperation of the people is needed by those in administration towards achieving set lofty goals and objectives” he said.

Ademola further assured that the forum would not relent in offering prayers for lasting and absolute peace to reign in Nigeria.
