Bukom Banku Stranded At Kotoka Airport

Braimah “Bukom Banku” Kamoko has been left stranded at the Kotoka International Airport following a deadlock between the supporters and the flight attendants.

Bukom Banku, who recently routed his opponent Ayitey Powers in a ruthless bout, is reported to have complained bitterly about the sudden delay in their flight to watch the Black Stars’ opening match Monday evening.

The Government of Ghana, as part of plans to motivate the national team players, arranged a flight for 500 supporters but it appears there has been a turn of events since about 400 soccer fans are said to have become stranded at the Airport.

According to Peace FM sources, the supporters were scheduled to leave the shores of Ghana over the weekend to Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup; however their flight delayed and so, they were rescheduled to take off today at 6 am.

But as at 8 am, the supporters were still at the Airport and several of them reportedly are in a dilemma.

Braimah Kamoko and Ayitey Powers are among the frustrated supporters at the Kotoka Airport.

It could be recalled that the former President Jerry John Rawlings promised the two boxers ticket each to Brazil to watch the matches.

Peace FM’s reporter Ama Amoakowaah Ogyampa, narrating the incident on Peace FM’s 12 noon news bulletin said the boxers were booked to take off the shores today but they have joined other stranded supporters to register their displeasure with the Airport authorities.
