Over 1,000 BECE Candidates Attend Second Series Lectures By Great ASESA


ASekyerewa Students Association (GREAT ASESA) has trained the Final year Students preparing for 2014 Basic Education Certificate Examinationon June 16th. The Candidate who ere numbered close to 1,200 were selected from 37 Schools in the Effiduasi, Juaben, and Kumawu district in the Ashanti Region.

The Second Series Seminar with the theme “YES I CAN DO” was meant to inspire and motivate prior to the BECE. Candidates were also taken through the technicalities and ethics of the said exams. Resource persons who voluntary embarked on this cause include Teachers, Examiners, Counselors as well as personnel from the Ghana Education Service.

The District Chief Executive of Sekyere East, Hon Solomon Adjei-Mensh took time to encourage the Candidates advised them to spend more time on their books since there is no magic in passing an exams apart from taken studies seriously. He was full of praises to GREAT ASESA wished the Candidates a successful exams.

On the part of the Ghana Education Service of the Sekyere East District, Mr Daniel Clifford Appiah expressed a gratitude to the Association and made a humble appeal that such programs will be repeated periodically to improve the academic performance. Gifty kyerewaa of Asantewaa Preparatory School thank GREAT ASESA on behalf of the Candidates. She said most of the Students did not much about the ethics of the exams.

Students of Gold Coast Medical Foundation from United State of America who participated in the Lectures also thanked the Association and advised the Youngsters to do their best. The President of the Asekyerewa Students Association, Mr. Kwame Appiah-kubi called on all Stakeholders to contribute immensely to development of Education to uplift the low standards of education.
