Seventh Day Sabbath Church Donates To The Need

The Seventh Day Sabbath Church of Christ has donated some items worth of over GHC 200,000 to the needy including the physically challenged, widows and orphans numbering about 2000 people.

The items included 1,000 toiletries, 10 wheel chairs, 1000 slippers, 100 white cane for the blind, 50 bags of rice, 1000 pieces of cloth, pampers, cutlass and 5 bales of shirts which was given to needy members from Akwatia, Osinase, Agona Swderu, and its surrounding communities.

The gesture forms part of the Church’s social responsibilities and a get-together being organised this year.

The donations were made as part of the church’s annual conference which was held at Akwatia last weekend.

It was on the theme ”Unless the church fulfill its evangelical and charity mission, it has no reason to exit” where the church also donated an amount of GHC200 to register over 2000 children of the church for the National Health Insurance Scheme to access healthcare.

Apostle Afram Danso, aka ‘Man of Wisdom’, the General Overseer of the Church during his sermon tasked Christians to follow the steps of the Lord Jesus Christ, and give to the charity and the less endowed.

Apostle Afram Danso further appealed to the general public to also contribute their quota to help the needy in society.

The colourful ceremony was graced by the traditional rulers of the area, the Member of Parliament and the entire congregation from the over 40 branches of the church.
