Another Killers’ Den Uncovered In Ogun, Boy Rescued

A house suspected to be used for ritual purposes has been uncovered in Ado Odo Community, Ota Local Government Area by the Ogun state police.

A young boy was said to have been rescued from the bungalow which is surrounded by no fewer than three primary schools.

According to a resident named Jamiu Abisogun, the den was discovered after a young boy who was hawking belts was abducted by the suspected kidnappers.

Recounting what happened, he said a man on the street who wanted to buy belt was negotiating price with the boy before he was called into the building by one of the suspected kidnappers.

After 2 hours, the boy was still not out of the building which aroused suspicion from the man on the street, prompting him to report to the police. he was said to have gone to the Itele Police Station where he told them about his suspicion.

Policemen from the station then sprang into action and stormed the building but they couldn’t gain access in and had to leave but they returned in the evening and forcefully broke into the house.

They found the young boy locked in the toilet and badly injured with blood gushing out of his body while the kidnappers were nowhere to be found as they had fled the building.

Items found in the building include, foot wares and clothes belonging to kids and women, and an Identity Card with the tag, ‘Dada Temitope- Principle for Men, specialist in English and Native Dresses.

PUNCH reports that some angry residents mobilised and attacked the building, damaging it and setting some parts ablaze.

The Chairman, Itele-Awori Area Community Development Committee, Olatunji Onaolapo, appealed to the police to get to the root of the matter.

According to the Itele Police Station, the matter had been transferred to Area G Command, Sango.

It would be recalled that in March, that a dungeon where scores of kidnapped people had been tortured and killed was discovered at the Soka area, a satellite community of Ibadan, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway of Oyo State.

After then, people have been caught in different parts of the country trying to kidnap children, some with human parts, while some kidnappers have been lynched.
