Lacks management acumen: Kotoko deputy Accra-rep lashes out at Opoku Nti

Sereboe believes, Opoku Nti is not competent to lead Asante Kotoko, though he was a good footballer.

The Porcupine Warriors, for the very first time in their history won a double of FA Cup and league title under Nti’s stewardship.

However some people who are in his administration believe he is not the man in charge of the day to day running of the club. He has been accused by the Accra rep of the club for letting journalists write letters on his behalf for Kotoko, due to his low level of education.

‘Opoku Nti lacks the management acumen to lead Kotoko as the General Manager and the fact that he was a good player doesn’t necessarily makes him a good administrator, because management is learnt at the university, Sereboe told Metro fm.

‘This is amazing, the General Manager allows journalists close to him to write letters for Kotoko, before he forwards them to me to act on them and that is the more reason I sometimes refuse to do so.

‘He doesn’t plan for the club and he thinks that a meeting between him and the Operations Manager, George Kennedy is a management meeting.

‘ I was surprised to hear from him that, he doesn’t call me for management meetings because I am a close friend of Nana Kwame Danquah, former deputy Accra rep and since he worked for Dr. K.K Sarpong, he could be a threat to his administration.’

‘His style of leadership is ‘divide and rule’, hence only wants to hear things that go in his favour.’

Opoku  Nti’s faith as the General Manager will be decided by the Board of Directors of the club, before next season commences.
