Assistant Commissioner Of Police Found Dead In His Bed

The Nigeria Police Force has been plunged into mourning following the sudden death of one of its commandant, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Kayode Adewoye.

Mr Kayode who is the commandant of the Nigeria Police Training School, Iperu, Ogun State was found dead in his bed yesterday, June 10 by members of his family.

When he did not come out of his room at the usual time, a member of his family had gone to his room to check on him only to discover him ice cold and already dead.

It was gathered from sources that the night before his death, Mr Kayode who resides at the Police Officers’ quarters, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos State had taken his kids out for a treat, after which he went to bed, only to be found dead the next day.

The cause of his death is yet unknown.

However, sources close to deceased said he was diabetic before his sudden demise.

The deceased has three children.

Aged 53, Kayode was said to have joined the Police Force as a Cadet in 1990.

He studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State and was the chairman of University of Ilorin Kegites’ Club for the 1985/86 session.

He has worked at Ilasa, Bariga, Badagry police stations as the divisional police officer, among other places.

custody.
