Injury scare: Neymar frightens Brazil ahead of WC opening game


Host nation of the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament, Brazil saw its football fanatics have their hearts in their mouth for a moment on Monday when their forward Neymar went down during training in what seemed to be the most frightening injury scare the nation had ever seen.

The Barcelona player rolled his ankle during a training session outside Rio de Jeneiro forcing him to receive treatment in a painful manner on the pitch.

Neymar, after treatment from the medical staff was however able to walk without help and after some time resumed training.

The player is set to be fully fit for the opening game against Croatia on Thursday. Brazil have been drawn into the 2014 FIFA World Cup Group A with Croatia, Cameroon and Mexico.
