Asamoah’s versatility excites Black Stars coach

Ghana coach is ready to utilize Kwadwo Asamoah’s versatility as the Black Stars prepare for the World Cup in Brazil.

Kwesi Appiah is happy to have the attacking midfielder who can be asked to play in various roles across the pitch with the exception of being a goalkeeper.

Asamoah, who plays as an attacking left-back for Juventus has operated operated in the role for Ghana in the past with Appiah arguing that his versatility makes it easier to be utilised in various tactical roles.

“Kwadwo Asamoah is one of the players that you can put him in any position apart from the goalpost,” Appiah said about Asamoah.

“With him[Asamoah], I normally don’t have much of a problem.

“I can tell him to play this role or the other. He is so versatile and can play anywhere.”

Asamoah will be making his second appearance at the World Cup after his debut in the 2010 edition in South Africa.
