Israel-Ghana Executive Business Summit Approaches And The Interest Is High!


Accra Ghana, 6th June, 2014:An unprecedented delegation of Israeli companies, both in size and in the profile of the representation sent, will be arriving to Ghana on the 16th of June to take place in what was aptly named the Israel-Ghana Executive Business Summit.

Forty Five of the “Innovation Nation” companies, all with creative approach and specialties in a large variation of sectors such as finance, energy, agriculture, health, information technology, homeland security, water technology, education and that is just to name a few, are sending their high ranking executives – CEOs, MDs and the like, to meet and do business with their Ghanaian counterparts. On the Ghanaian side we can expect principal industry players, key business leaders and policy makerswho are looking to explore opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration.

Leading the Israeli delegation will be Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Avigdor Liberman who will, alongside his counterpart the Hon. Hanna Tetteh, be offering his remarks at the opening of the seminar. Some of the other speakers will include GIPC CEO Mawuena Trebah, Mr. Kwame Pianim – Chairman of the Board of Airtel Ghana and Mr. Ofer Sachs, CEO of the Israeli Export Institute, among others.

The second part of the seminar will feature high-level B2B (business to business) sessions that will be a great platform for what will be a laying of the foundation for future projects and joint initiatives.

The Summit, which will take place at the prestigious Moevenpick Hotel, is a closed event and participation is strictly by invite only. The organizers of the event at the Israeli Embassy inform us that the registration is almost done with over 150 guests confirmed.

Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Sharon Bar-li remarked that’this is the time for the private sector partnerships to emerge, as it is the private sector that should become the locomotive of the Ghanaian economic growth. The potential of the Israeli innovation, experience and creativity and the Ghanaian quickly growing market is raising high level interest and I trust that the upcoming Summit will facilitate the fulfillment of this potential’

The Israel-Ghana Executive Business Summitis being organized by the Israeli Embassy in collaboration with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and the Israeli Export Institute.
