A group of suspected Boko Haram fighters have conducted another act of manslaughter in a village close to the capital city of the troubled Borno State, Maiduguri, killed about 45 people.
According to BBC reports, the insurgents appeared in the area in a rather quite way on July 4, 2014, Wednesday. They entered Barderi village close to the outskirts of Borno State capital, and the University of Maiduguri area. The invaders offered people to gather for preaching. But when the crowd grew larger, they pulled out the guns and started shooting on the peaceful villagers.
As the result, about 45 people have lost their lives.
The terrorists have been practicing more and more tricks to gather residents together before killing them.
For instance, in an attack on Attagara village, Gwoza Local Government area of Borno State, on July 3, 2014, Tuesday, people believed that armed men where the troops deployed for their protection after Sunday’s deadly attack on a local church.
When the uniformed people asked them to line up, they obeyed and therefore, became easy targets for Boko Haram gunmen.
The number of people killed in Tuesday’s parallel and coordinated raids on at least six villages is controversial. The latest update by BBC informs of 200 killed. However, such Nigerian sources as TodayNG put the number of slaughtered civilians to 400, informed about many corpses dumped in bushes and pathways.
