Man has pleaded Ilorin Area Court on June 2 to dissolve his marriage of 5 years over his wife being “diabolical and fetish”.
According to the plaintiff Aminu Quadri his wife Barakat “believes in black magic as the only solution to every problem”, NAN reports.
The scared husband narrated that Barakat had converted their bedroom in a shrine, adding that she even used to spray black soap and red oil in the house, allegedly for protection.
Meanwhile the defendant objected to divorce and explained to the Justice that her methods of protection could be reasoned by the fact that her father is a herbalist, which her husband knows. She added:
“I wonder why he is now complaining.”
The woman asked the court to adjourn the case, vowing to stop the fetish practices to save the family, blessed with one child.
The case was adjourned to June 18.
