The emir concluded that unity is the only way out in the current situation.

The Emir of Katsina turbaned the acting chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Services Kabir Muhammad Mashi as Dankafin Katsina. Others who were conferred with traditional titles included:

– Commissioner of Agriculture Musa Adamu Funtua as Garkuwan Gabas of Katsina;

According to The Leadership, the ceremony was attended by such VIPs as Africa’s billionaire #1 Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Senator Kabiru Gaya and some representatives of state governors.

It would be recalled that the whole institute of Emirs experienced shock on May 30, 2014, Friday, when a group of suspected Boko Haram members ambushed a convoy of three Borno Emirs, which resulted in the death of one of them, Alhaji Idrissa Timta.
