The Faithful Supporters group of Asante Kotoko has expressed their appreciation for the hard work of defender Kwabena Adusei by naming him as the player of the season
Kotoko Supporters wing called Faithfuls has named Kwabena Adusei as the club’s player of the 2013/14 season.
Kwabena Adusei beat competition from fellow defender Abeiku Ainooson and midfielder Michael Akuffu to win the award.
He was presented with Samsung Series LED Flat screen TV and the entire Kotoko team was presented four cartoons of Blue Jeans Energy drink ahead of their super clash on Sunday against Hearts of Oak in Kumasi.
A committee was set up to shortlist the players, before the entire ‘Faithfuls’ Supporters group voted to settle on the Local Black Stars defender as the player of the season.
The criteria used to determine the shortlisted players were commitment to the course of the club, contribution to the nation, style of play, etc.
This is the maiden edition of the award from the ‘Faithfuls’ Supporters group, but they have promised to make it a seasonal award to encourage players to give off their best.
