Be active: Eric Bekoe hits at Kotoko Supporters

Eric Bekoe has cautioned the Supporters of his former club Asante Kotoko to rout behind their beloved club in thick and thin during matches against Hearts of Oak.

The Porcupine Warriors come up against Hearts of Oak on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and the 20007/08 Ghana Premier League goal king believes that for his former club to get the desired results their  supporters ought to change their attitude by getting behind the team in both good and bad moments.

‘Kotoko fans gets disappointed early and that is a tool Hearts mostly use against us,’ Bekoe told Metro fm.

‘Hearts fans that usually come to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium are few. They mostly fill the Asokwa end of the field, but Kotoko fans who occupy greater part of the stadium allow the few Phobia fans to overshadow them when they begin to cheer their team on to victory.

‘We, the playing body don’t feel easy at all when fans become disappointed, so they should change their style of supporting the team and back them in both defeats and victories.’

Eric Bekoe scored 17 premier league goals in his first season for the league champions to win the top scorer, before joining Petroject in the Egyptian league
