Ex-governor Urges Jonathan To Visit Chibok

Former governor of Kaduna State and national chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Alhaji Balarabe Musa, has expressed concern over the failure of President Goodluck Jonathan to visit Chibok, Borno State, as a result of not being assured of his safety.

Balarabe disclosed this, Thursday in Dutse, Jigawa State capital, while presenting a paper entitled: “Youth and Quest for National Unity in Nigeria: Issues, Challenges and Prospect” in a symposium organised by the State government, as part of the 2014 Democracy Day celebration.

The former governor also regretted the security situation in the country where nobody was safe irrespective of his/her position, including the president himself.

“It can be testified that up till now the president is yet to visit Chibok where female students were abducted by insurgents and majority believed that it is because of not being assured of his safety in the area.”

Musa also expressed his opposition to President Jonathan’s idea of inviting western power to interfere in the country’s security over the Chibok adopted girls.
