The Disciplinary Committee (DC) of the Ghana Football Association have thrown away the protest lodged by Medeama SC against Aduana Stars for failing to pay a cost of GHC 5000 awarded against them by the DC.

Aduana Stars were fined after their case against Hearts of Oak was dismissed and subsequently fined GHC 5000 and Medeama were very optimistic the fine hadn’t been paid by the time their outstanding match which ended 0-1 in favour of the Dormaa based side was played, hence the need to be declared winners.

Medeama claimed that the conduct of Aduana contravened Article 39(8) (b) and 34(I) (L) of the Ghana Football Association Regulations after they failed to pay a cost of GH¢5,000.00 in their protest against Hearts of Oak.

However Aduana Stars supported their defence with receipt of payment dated 30th April, which was the same day their outstanding game was cleared.

The Disciplinary Committee based on the evidence available squashed the protest and consequently awarded a cost of GHC 3000 against Medeama
