They together with King Faisal who also got relegated for the very first time since 1995/96 season and B.A Stars bade their farewell to the premier league.

The Pride of North achieved a quick qualification to the premier league after just a season in the First division, but they couldn’t stand the heat of the elite division in 2012/13 and had to be sent packing once again.

Real Tamale United (RTU), made their league debut in 1978 ans put up an impressive performance by placing 3rd on the log and have since been a force to reckon with.

Their best season in the Ghana league happened in the 1996/97 season, when they finished second to Hearts of Oak, with just goals separating them.

They have over the years produced stars such as Ghana legend, Abedi Ayew Pele, Mohammed Gargo, etc.
