Ex-Ghana youth midfielder Adu scores to aid Stabaek triumph in Norwegian Cup

Former Ghana U17 star Enock Adu Kofi scored a last-gasp penalty to help Stabaek thrash third-tier side Grorud 3-0 in the Norwegian Cup on Wednesday evening.

The 23-year-old registered the third goal in the 117th minute after converting expertly from a spot kick as Stabaek defeated the host at the Grorud Stadion in Oslo to progress to the fourth round of the competition.

Kassi and Dahle both scored in first-half extra-time to give Stabaek a 2-0 lead before the 2007 Black Starlets midfielder scored from the spot to register his second goal of the season.

Adu joined Stabaek, coached by former Egypt head coach Bob Bradley, before the start of the Norwegian season from Belgian side Club Brugge and has been influential in their early season campaign.
