The female senior national soccer team, the Black Queens, on Sunday will face their counterparts from Ethiopia in the first leg of the African Women’s Championship in Addis Ababa [Ethiopia].

The Queens who have been camping in South Africa ahead of the crucial game touched down in Ethiopia as early as Wednesday in other to acclimatize themselves to the harsh weather conditions in the East African nation.

The Black Queens, who are chasing their eighth appearance at the competition, will be seeking to stage yet another feat in this year’s championship after failing to qualify for the last edition which was held in Equatorial Guinea.

The 2014 African Women’s Championship will be hosted by Namibia in August.
