Mid-week duel: Kotoko to win league title at Bekwai

New Edubiase United take on Asante Kotoko on match day 28 of the First Capital Plus Premier League at the Bekwai Gyamfi Park on Wednesday.

A win for the league leaders will crown them champions for the third season running.

The league title destination could also be decided on Wednesday if the Porcupine Warriors draw or lose against the Edubiase lads, but would be determined by the outcome of the game between Heart of Lions and Amidaus Professionals at Tema.

What makes the game difficult for Asante Kotoko is that, they have lost form in the second half of the league, having won only a game on the road and moreover are coming up against a side that have consistently denied them an away victory.

New Edubiase would need a win to salvage them from relegation, since a home loss could push them to the relegation zone, depending on how the other relegation strugglers fare.

The 2012 FA Cup champions, who are bent on securing the three maximum points, have flown their talisman Asiedu Attobrah from Germany to strengthen their team.

The Porcupine Warriors have lost one and drawn three in their four outings to the home grounds of New Edubiase, being it Obuasi or Bekwai.
