An imperious Heart of Lions side consigned relegation-trapped Amidaus Professionals to a 3-1 defeat at their own backyard in the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.
The Kpando-based side have secured a ticket for next season’s CAF Champions League and would be representing Ghana as they have a better head-to-head advantage over Hearts of Oak.
Lions’ victory were inspired by the continental ambitions and mercilessly hammered a poor Amidaus side.
Mohammed Razir and Idan Conney scored within 3 minutes in the first-half (28th and 31st minutes) to put Lions ahead but Isaac Owusu gave Amidaus hopes when he scored he halved the deficit with a stroking drive in the 38th.
Twelve minutes into the second half Nana Poku was presented with a chance to fire them level but he blasted a penalty wide.
Prince Acquah punished them nine minutes from time with third goal of the game.
