Week 4 of the Ghana Beach Soccer Championship saw Keta Sunset move to the summit of the ten team league for the first time this season albeit on goal difference.
The skillful defending Champions thrashed Ada Assurance 6-2 in a one sided game. Sunset Sports raced into a two goal lead before Sappor Divine and Sossi Simon rallied Assurance back into the game but try as they did, Ada could not get to grips with the tenacity of the reigning champions.
More goals from Adjetey Hamza who scored twice to complete his hatrick and Captain Caesar Beckley also finding the back of the net propelled Sunset to kill off the game.
Leaders Havedzi Mighty Warriors succumbed to their first defeat of the season in a nine goal thriller against East Legon Sharks. In a keenly contested affair that saw the pendulum swift several times, it was the Sharks who held their nerves to secure their third win of the campaign, throwing the title race wide open, with three teams- Keta Sunset Sports, Havedzi Mighty Warriors and East Legon Sharks, now level at the top with 9points after four rounds of matches.
It was yet another defeat for Nima Bsc as fellow division one campaigners Gulf Powers defeated them painfully by a goal to nil. For Gulf powers it was step in the right direction to ensure survival in their debut season in the top flight.
Teshie United continued their resurgence with a 4-2 win over La Yoca, who have now lost three successive games after picking up a win on the opening day.
Wuo Gbee handed Dansoman their third defeat of the four week old campaign. The La based side won by 4-3 wrapping up another ecstatic day of soccer played at the La Beach Soccer Arena in Accra.
