GCPP Mourns The Fall Of A Great Ghanaian Patriot—P.V. OBENG

I think if we are going to be talking about icons and the true definition of the word, he is one of those. He has been a patriot, there is no doubt in my mind about that. What a shock! I spoke with Mr PV Obeng on Friday at the National Economic Forum.

I think if we want to inspire our young people to levels of excellence , the life and contributions of Mr P V Obeng should be something that is taught at the schools.

“There is a lot of Mr PV Obeng’s legacy to be emulated, he displayed great courage and conviction in helping to shape and run the political and economic affairs of our dear nation.

He was not a partisan politician. Our PV like most Ghanaians loved Football.

I remember seeing him cheer the black stars on to victory especially in our 6-1 demolishing of the pharaohs of Egypt at the Baba Yara sports stadium ,Kumasi for Ghana to qualify to the 2014 world Cup in Brazil.

We offer our sincere condolences to his wife, children, family, friends and to the entire members of the NDC and the government of Ghana.

May his soul rest in Perfect Peace.
