CPP Chair Impressed With Asantehene

A.S. Yaw Osei, the Ashanti regional chairman of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) has praised Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene and the organizers of the just ended celebration of Akwasidae Kese to herald his15 years reign.

He said the celebration exposed the rich Ashanti culture which is currently and gradually declining due to bad imitation of Western cultures.

He advised the youth to acquaint themselves with traditional authorities so as to be abreast with traditions.

The regional chairman of CPP was speaking to this paper after the event had ended in Kumasi.

He said the occasion demonstrated a sense of unity which brought different chiefs, politicians, clergies, spiritualists, business men, foreigners and ordinary Ghanaians together.

He said, once the people defied the rain on the day it showed a high sense of respect for the authority, in particular, the Asantehene.

According to the CPP chairman, the attitude must be exhibited at work places, by doing things at the right time so that Ghana can be a better place to live in.

Mr. Osei also praised President John Mahama for his convincing speech which to him “suited the event” devoid of politics.

He urged the leaders to make a sense of what Otumfuo said, especially, the means to assist the youth to get employable skills.
