Ghana’s Black Satellites beat Sierra Leone 2-0 in the first leg of the African Youth Qualifiers in Freetown on Saturday.

Two goals in each half from Dennis Tetteh and Prosper Kasim gave Ghana an upper hand over the Shooting Stars going into the second leg.

Dennis Tetteh shot Ghana in front in the 38th minutes before winger Prosper Kasim sealed victory for the Satellites 7 minutes from time with a perfect finish to make the return leg which will be played at the Tamale Sports Stadium on May 25th a mere formality.

The Black Satellites will meet the winner of the Rwanda versus Gabon tie if they manage to qualify for the next round.

The 2015 African Youth Championship will be staged in Senegal. Ghana were silver medalists at the last edition of the competition in Algeria after losing on penalties to Egypt.
