Shatta Wale takes GHc60,000 to perform at Ghana Meets Naija

Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has been announced by the organizers of the annual Ghana Meets Naija concert, Empire Entertainment, as the latest addition of acts to perform at this year’s event.

The 4th edition of the concert is set to come off at the International Conference Center on the 24 May, 2014 and according to the organizers, the 2014 Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year will be performing.

Also performing at the event are Davido, Kcee, Sarkodie, Castro, Guru, Wizboyy, and Lil Win.

The concert is built on celebrating, uniting and exploring the different, yet similar musical tastes, cultures and artistes of both Ghana and Nigeria, and it has never failed to deliver on that.

The Ghana Meets Naija concert is largely regarded as a musical showdown aimed at answering the constantly nagging question as to who is supreme between Ghana and Nigeria – two countries whose musical trends have continuously influenced and rivaled each other.

Shatta Wale has been in the news for refusing to perform at this year’s Ghana Music Awards because organizers, Charterhouse could not meet his GHc70,000 performance fee.

Cecil Nii Coffie (Blade) disclosed on Airtel Entertainment News on Drive Time on Joy FM that his artiste has agreed to deal of GHc60,000 to perform at the event.

He assured patrons who will attend the event that Shatta Wale will bring his A game to bear on the night and that they should expect nothing but the best. Story by Ghana | Myjoyonline.com | Ernest Dela Aglanu (Twitter: @delaXdela / Instagram: citizendela)
