BLACK STARS Skipper, Asamoah Gyan, says he is in the form of his life ahead of the World Cup which starts in Brazil in a few weeks’ time.

He said the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup is coming at the right time when his scoring rate is very high.

Gyan prayed that he would stay strong and free from injury before the Mundial gets underway in Brazil so that he could bang in the goals for Ghana.

Speaking on Angel FM, the Ghana captain said he is impressed with his scoring form for Al Ain and Ghana this season, attributing his high scoring rate to hard work and dedication.

Gyan explained that he has scored freely for Al Ain and Ghana this season because he has been able to stay away from injury.

According to the attacker, there has been consistency in his play this season, and that is one of the reasons of his top form.

Gyan noted that he is very fit and ready to cause nightmarish moments for defenders during the World Cup.

He called for team work and unity in the Black Stars camp, to help the team to excel at the World Cup.

He expressed the belief that the Black Stars would make it to the next stage, even though they are pitched in the same group with Germany, Portugal and USA.

The Ghana Skipper said he would still not kick a penalty for the Black Stars during regulation time due to a promise he made to his deceased mother.

Gyan, however, said if the game is stretched to penalty shootouts and it gets to his turn to take a penalty then he would do so.
