Ghana goalkeeper Daniel Agyei has denied reports he has been put on the transfer list by South African club Free State Stars.

The 24-year-old is reported to be part of a nine-man list declared as surplus to requirement at Ea Lla Koto.

Free State Stars have come off a gruelling campaign which almost saw them relegated from the South African top flight.

The club’s top hierarchy are desperate to avoid such difficulties in the coming season and what to start by freeing up spaces in their squad in order to make quality acquisitions.

Agyei who was not included in the provisional Ghana squad for the 2014 World Cup however says reports he has been transfer listed by the club are untrue.

“I don’t know why GHANAsoccernet is doing this to me. They didn’t call me or the club to confirm,” he told Accra-based Power FM.

“No one at the club has told me I am leaving otherwise I would have brought all my belongings as I am in Ghana now.

“I spoke to the chairman and he has assured me that everything is fine and that I should remain relaxed.”

Agyei joined the South African side at the start of the season and enjoyed a decent run at the beginning but found himself being restricted to the substitute bench following a spell with injuries.
