On Monday, 12th May, 2014, the Informer Newspaper carried out a front page headline which portrayed Mr. Samuel Nartey George as enemy within the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The story, which was titled “Use of Heritage Fund… ASIEDU NKETIA, FIIFI KWETEY HAVE NO LOCUS”, described Mr. Nartey George as an insurgent within the NDC who is bent on destroying the fortunes of the Mahama administration.
The paper also labeled him as a “disrespectful” NPP urchin, who suddenly jumped onto the NDC train after the 2008 victory.
Clearly not happy with the publication, a letter has been addressed to the Editor-in-Chief of the Informer newspaper by lawyers for Mr. Nartey..
The solicitors acting on the instruction of Mr. Nartey, have demanded that the newspaper render an immediate and unqualified retraction and apology for publishing the story.
