Switzerland’s Ambassador to Ghana, Gerhard Brugger has expressed the wiliness of his government to help Ghana find solutions to the economic crisis.

He said, ‘Our doors are always opened to Ghana, and we are ready to offer a hand of support.’

Brugger, who was speaking at the Swiss-Ghana Chamber of Commerce meeting in Accra, said Ghana remains an excellent investment destination in spite of her current economic challenges.

He said, ‘Before I came to Ghana, I had received some briefings in Switzerland which pointed to the fact that Ghana was going through difficult times however the country still remains a good place to do business.’

Bruger said Ghana’s reputation in Switzerland is very good, stating that ‘I will work to ensure the sustainability of the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

‘We will also ensure that Swiss businesses survive in Ghana. We will always promote their interest in Ghana.’

According to him, Ghana is a very peaceful country where people can invest and do genuine business, noting that the democratic systems are properly working.

He therefore called on members of the Chamber to grow and maintain their business reputations to build confidence and trust.

Samuel Incoom, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Swiss-Ghana Chamber of Commerce, said Ghana has been a key partner to Switzerland over a decade, stating that both countries would continue to do business together.

He said the main objectives of the Chamber are to promote trade and cooperation between Ghana and Switzerland.
