Sissala East District Pleads With President To Appoint DCE

Some concerned citizens of the Sissala East District in the Upper West Region, are pleading with the President, to appoint a qualified and competent person as Chief Executive for the district.

The group has given the President a one-week ultimatum to meet their demand.

They lamented seriously that the absence of a DCE in the district for the past one year was having serious repercussions on the development of the district.

Mr. Bukari Bayorbor Nuhu, leader of the group, made the plea at a news conference at Tumu.

He said the group would have no choice than to embark on a peaceful demonstration if they fail to hear anything regarding the appointment of the DCE, after the one week had elapsed.
