Two bodies show support for orphanages

The Prayer Director of the Action Chapel International, Bishop Joseph Nyarko Antwi, has commended the Ghana National Scholarship Beneficiaries Association (GNASBA) and Fan Milk Limited for their support towards the upkeep of orphanages and charity homes countrywide.

He said more funds and logistics were needed to support the management of orphanages and charity homes in the country.

Bishop Antwi made the call when GNASBA and Fan Milk presented litter bins, Fan Milk-branded footballs ,T-shirts and products from Fan Milk to the Action Chapel International on the Spintex Road in Accra.

As part of its social responsibility activities,  Bishop Antwi said the Action Chapel International Foundation was building schools, drilling  boreholes and daily  feeding children of orphanages and a drug rehabilitation centre in Accra.

He commended the two bodies for their benevolence and appealed to individual companies  and corporate institutions to support the Action Chapel International Compassion Foundation.

For his part, Mr Kwasi Attuah, the Sales and Marketing Manager of Fan Milk Limited, said this year, three orphanages had benefited from similar packages and gave the assurance that the company was committed to supporting the underprivileged in society.

 Mr Attuah said Fan Milk Limited had supported GNASBA’s “schools environmental sanitation education campaign” for the past 20 years and pledged the company’s support for the campaign.

Baffour Akwasi Oppong, the National Chairman of GNASBA, commended the leadership and the entire membership of Action Chapel for championing  thecause to train and bring change to many lives.
