Inter Allies reached their first FA Cup final with a hard fought 1-0 win over unlucky Feyenoord on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Premier League side needed an early second half goal to edge the academy side who recently gained promotion to the Ghana top-flight.
Striker Abdul Fatawu Safiu connected home Frederick Yemoah’s cross in the 48th minute.
Feyenoord could have won the easily but were denied by the woodwork and some heroic goalkeeping from Kwame Osei.
In the first half, the gloves man pulled a great save to deny Feyenoord’s top scorer Samuel Tetteh.
After the break, he stood between Feyenoord and the equalizer when he collected a shot fro Tetteh again
He double save in the final minutes of the match drew applauds from the sparse crowd when he parried Joseph Amoah effort and reacted quickly to pick up the rebound.
Feyenoord had chances and smashed the woodwork twice courtesy Gideon Waja but were robbed by some poor shooting upfront.
Inter Allies will play either Asante Kotoko or King Faisal in the final at the Accra Sports Stadium on 25 May.
