Hopeson Adorye Must Act Sensibly – Deputy NDC Gen Sec

A Deputy General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has condemned Mr. Hopeson Adorye for alleging that ahead of the registration process soon to be commenced by the Electoral Commission (EC), the ruling party has received computer software to rig the 2016 elections.

Mr. George Lawson stated on Peace FM’s Midday news that it never came to him as a surprise when Mr. Hopeson Adorye, contested and lost the National Organizer position some few months ago.

The NDC scribe attributed Mr. Adorye’s loss to the “reckless nature” in which he normally spoke when offered the platform to contribute on national issues.

Mr. Adorye in an earlier interview with Peacefmonline.com alleged that he had picked up intelligence that the EC of Ghana and the ruling party had equipped certain people with skills to manipulate the biometric process and this could have a telling effect on the fortunes of the NPP.

Aside this ploy, Mr. Adorye added that the way has also been paved for people living in neighboring countries to come and reside in Ashanti Region and make the place their home.

This attempt is to make the EC regard them as Ghanaians when registration starts and aid the NDC rake in one million votes as projected by President Mahama.

Clearly not happy about the comment, Mr. Lawson warned that until Mr. Adorye starts pleasing his paymasters in a “sensible way”, he would never be given an official position to handle in the NPP.

He explained that it was out of optimism that President Mahama projected that the NDC could get one million votes and it was totally wrong for Mr. Adorye to assume they are hatching plans to rig the 2016 elections in Ashanti Region.
