Fidelity supports Otumfuo Anniversary

Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited has donated GH¢50,000 and assorted drinks towards the 15 th anniversary of the enstoolment of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Managing Director of the bank, Edward Effah, who led the delegation to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi to make the donation, acknowledged the Otumfuo’s effort to make education a priority in Asanteman.

He said ‘one of the key pillars of Fidelity Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility is education. In this regard, the Bank has made this donation to support Otumfuo’s long-term agenda in education.’

He said ‘the bank believes giving to the Asantehene would in the long-run affect the lives of many people because the Asantehene in his 15-year reign has initiated a number of developmental projects that have positively impacted the lives of people in Asanteman and beyond.’

Mr. Effah said that eight out of the bank’s 50 branches were located in Kumasi and the bank would continue to strive to make their activities impact positively on the people in the metropolis and the region at large.

He commended the Asantehene for his development-oriented efforts, which he said had brought transformation to the region.

He said Fidelity Bank was committed to strengthening relationship with Manhyia Palace and said they were happy to be a part of the historic 15 th anniversary of Otumfuo, which coincided with his 64 th birthday.

Speaking on behalf of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Akyempemhene, Oheneba Adusei Poku lauded Fidelity Bank for the kind gesture.

The Board Chairman of the bank, William Panford Bray and other top officials accompanied Mr. Effah to the palace.
