The Chair of the Commonwealth Observer Mission for the May 7 South African national and provincial elections, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and other international observers are currently in South Africa monitoring their ongoing elections.
Tens of thousands of South Africans have headed to the polls to vote in the country’s fifth democratic election since the end of apartheid.
Electoral officials said on Wednesday that most polling stations across the country opened on time.
